Dr Bainbridge worked out that commit 32748 and 37801 (the previous 2 changes to this file, which seemed to undo each other's commits) resolved the same bug, which was that when PDFv2Plugin's enable-cache was switched on along with the output type set to a pagedimg or paged_text format (both these output types use PDFBoxConverter), a target subdirectory inside cache was specified that didn't exist and needed to be created. Both 32747 and 37801 ensure that the target dir specified exists. However, the older fix of commit 32748, though committed to SVN, hadn't gone into the pdfbox extension's zip and tar.gz files, so wasn't in effect in practice much of the time (possibly not in SVN versions of GS3, and definitely not in GS3 binaries), so Dr Bainbridge's commit 37801 fixed the problem again in a slightly different, improved manner. In current commit, Dr Bainbridge has slightly improved things further.
