14<p>Having gathered several files into the collection, now enrich them with additional information called "metadata". This section explains how metadata is created, edited, assigned and retrieved, and how to use external metadata sources (also see Chapter 2 of the Greenstone Developer's Guide -- Getting the most out of your documents).</p>
