63You remove metadata the same way as you update it. First select a file from the
64file tree, then use the metadata table to select the metadata. If the metadata
65has a value assigned, the "Remove" button in the MetaEdit Controls becomes
66active. Click it to remove the metadata from the specified file. Other files
67remain unchanged, and the value remains in the Value Tree.

69When you remove metadata from a folder, or from several files, you are
70presented with various options: removing the metadata from this file, removing
71it from this and all other files, and skipping this file. You can cancel the
72operation at any time. If you choose metadata that is not common to all the
73selected files and click "Remove", the metadata is removed from those
74files that have it; all others are unaffected.
