  • Ticket #206 – description

    initial v4
1 When Greenstone 2 is installed from an installer on Macintosh, to a path with spaces (like '/Users/oranfry/Greenstone 2.74' which is where I installed to), GLI does not build collections; it reports an error then locks up when you click 'build'.
    2
3 I did some preliminary investigations which might help in fixing the bug: Looking at GLI's output in the console window, we can see that GLI tries to access the directory '/Users/oranfry/Greenstone', so it seems GLI is just using everything up to the first space of the correct path. Running 'echo $GSDLHOME' produced output: /Users/oranfry/Greenstone 2.74. So apparently the setup.bash script stores the path to greenstone unescaped and unquoted. I did not have this problem in Windows.
1Ensure that all installers can handle installing to a path with spaces, and running gli, local library server etc.
