132CDM.CollectionMetaManager.Any:Any Language
133CDM.CollectionMetaManager.Instructions:This design view allows you to add, modify and remove collection level metadata. To add metadata first select or type the name of the part of the collection you wish to add metadata to. Next choose a target language if applicable. Finally enter the value of the metadata and press 'Add New Metadata'.\nEditing an metadata entry is also simple. Select it from the list of metadata, then edit of change the assignment, language and value as necessary. Pressing 'Add New Metadata' now will add the modified metadata -without- changing the old. Otherwise when you select a different metadata entry, or leave the view, the metadata entry will be updated with the modified details.\nThe last action available is to delete a piece of metadata. Again select it from the list of metadata, then press the "Remove Selected Metadata" button. Easy.

146CDM.FormatManager.Instructions:The web pages you see when using Greenstone are not pre-stored but are generated 'on the fly' as they are needed. Format commands are used to change the appearance of these generated pages, and come in two flavours: those that control the display of documents or parts of documents, and those that affect the lists and pages generated by classifiers. The former are often simple boolean switches, while the remainder and the later category require html code as an argument.\nTo add a format command first choose it from the 'feature' list. If it is a simple switch then a True/False option panel appears, with the state selected by clicking on the appropriate button. On the other hand if it requires further arguments a different panel containing the 'Affected Feature' and 'Edit Format Strings' controls become available. The component list is only used for classifier based formatting, and is used to specify a specific part of the lists returned by a classifier. The editing field is used to type in an html text argument. Note the preset variables list. To add a preset place the editing caret at the appropriate position in the html text, choose your desired variable from the list, and press insert. To remove a preset, delete or backspace it just as in regular text editing.\nFinally, once you are statisfied with your changes, press 'Add Format' to add it to the configuration file.\nRemoving a format command is accomplished by selecting it from the 'Assigned Format Commands' and clicking the 'Remove Format' button.

231CDM.SubcollectionManager.Instructions:Use this panel to further refine index creation in two main ways.\nFirst of all you can define subcollection filters, which screen the collection documents based on the specified metadata values. Once these subcollection filters have been defined you can then choose to generate partitions on each of the previously specified indexes, based on one or more of these filters.\nThe other available index refinement is to generate index partitions based on language. This filters the collection documents so that only those which match the chosen language are included in that partition.\nNote that the total number of partitions generated is a combination of all indexes, subcollection filters and languages chosen. For example two indexes, with two subcollection filters in two languages would result in four partitions for each index, or eight index partitions in total.

The first step is to select an entry from the list of features. These features include, but are not limited to, collection level metadata and classifier names. Next you can select an existing text fragment in order to edit it, or you can select a language from the combobox in order to add a new fragment.
