63 | You remove metadata the same way as you update it. First select a file from the

64 | file tree, then use the metadata table to select the metadata. If the metadata

65 | has a value assigned, the "Remove" button in the MetaEdit Controls becomes

66 | active. Click it to remove the metadata from the specified file. Other files

67 | remain unchanged, and the value remains in the Value Tree.

69 | When you remove metadata from a folder, or from several files, you are

70 | presented with various options: removing the metadata from this file, removing

71 | it from this and all other files, and skipping this file. You can cancel the

73 | selected files and click "Remove", the metadata is removed from those

74 | files that have it; all others are unaffected.
