Wrap up the sparql table that is saved as complete HTML page so UTF8 can be specified in the header, otherwise viewing the HTML results in an incorrect (Latin1??) character encoding being chosen (not clear if that is caused by browser or web-server); controling it with HTML meta tag gets past all that
