As a result of working with 'ant', jar depencies essentially need to be worked out manually. Since the Greenstone3 code base is largely static, then this is not typically a significant burden. From time to time, however, a new 'jar stack' is added in, such as the case for including the Google Client Java API, so Greenstone3 can support Google Signin. The purpose of the 'jar-support' folder is to help streamline the process by including here a few scripts that help semi-automate the process
