Description
Using: Greenstone 3 compiled from source code that was checked out on March 03, 2008. I have set both my GLI instances to run in expert mode.
- In the Format tab of Greenstone 2's GLI, the "Cross-Collection Search" feature--and another one called "Collection Specific Macros"--are available.
- Neither of these are available in the GLI of my Greenstone 3 installation.
Ticket submitted on the assumption that the Cross-Collection Search (at least) is still considered a valuable feature in GLI, especially since Greenstone users are still making use of it.

We should have a wiki page that describes how to do this.

I have added an entry to Greenstone 3 FAQ. Not needed for GLI.

Cross collection searching is done differently in Greenstone3. In Greenstone2, each collection specifies what other collections should be searched with it. It only makes sense to search collections together if they have the same indexes. In Greenstone3 (default interface) there is a box on the home page to search over all collections. And a service for searching over multiple collections. Any collections can be searched together (in some basic fashion).
Do we want a collection level indication of collections that should be searched together in Greenstone3?
