Description
Need to merge the gems4gs3 scripts into gems.sh/gems.bat and need to merge GathererApplet4gs3.java into GathererApplet.java and test they still work.

I merged the GathererApplet files yesterday (changed GLI code GathererApplet.java, makegli.sh, makegli.bat and GS3 core code PageAction.java). It worked on GS3 but I have been unable to check how the original (unmerged) GathererApplet for GS2 works in order to know how the merged GathererApplet is supposed to work.
Can't close this ticket until I've tested the merged GathererApplet for GS2, which is contingent upon getting the original, unchanged GathererApplet working with GS2.

The explanation was in the Wiki along. Tested the merged GathererApplet on GS2 and it still works.
