      he provided a stable government.&amp;nbsp; He did so, and his position was 
      greatly strengthened by his marriage to the popular Elizabeth of York.&amp;nbsp; 
      Even more importantly, he provided two male heirs within a few years of 
      marriage.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
