#264 | wontfix | GS3 Java 1.4 minimum requirement should be 1.5
Description |
In build.xml we have <fail if="java.too.old" message="You need Java 1.4 or greater to run Greenstone 3"/> http://trac.greenstone.org/browser/greenstone3/trunk/build.xml#L381 however, in the Tomcat release notes it says: "Tomcat 5.5 is designed to run on J2SE 5.0 and later and requires configuration to run on J2SE 1.4." http://mirror.fslutd.org/apache/tomcat/tomcat-5/v5.5.26/RELEASE-NOTES Surely we should enforce this guidance? |

#266 | fixed | GS2 and GS3: Casefolding is off by default even though prefs say it's on
Description |
Tested on: GS3 compiled from source (checked out from svn on March 03, 2008) and on GS 2.80 binary installation. When a collection is created in GLI with case-folding options available (Design tab > Search indexes > Casefold ticked), the Greenstone browser's preferences page says that the case-folding is ON (meaning searches performed should be case insensitive by default). However, casefolding starts being OFF by default in spite of what the preferences page says, so that searches made are case sensitive. Casefolding does not take effect until the Set-Prefs button is pressed (with casefolding status showing ON) which then turns the functionality ON. See https://list.scms.waikato.ac.nz/mailman/private/greenstone-users/2008-March/006504.html for this problem identified by Jack Kelly. |

#268 | invalid | Cross-Collection Search feature available in GS2's GLI is missing in GS3's GLI
Description |
Using: Greenstone 3 compiled from source code that was checked out on March 03, 2008. I have set both my GLI instances to run in expert mode.
Ticket submitted on the assumption that the Cross-Collection Search (at least) is still considered a valuable feature in GLI, especially since Greenstone users are still making use of it. |
